CIFM/interzum guangzhou 2020 will now be held from July 27-30 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex (Pazhou Complex), according to a statement issued by Koelnmesse, the organizers of the show. The show, which was originally scheduled to be held from March 28-31, was postponed on account of the COVID-19 pandemic.
At present, the disease is being effectively controlled in China with the gradual resumption of everyday life and production. After carefully analyzing the situation and consulting the relevant stakeholders, Koelnmesse decided to reschedule this year’s edition of CIFM/interzum guangzhou to July.
The exhibition will still be held alongside the China International Furniture Fair (Office Show), also known as CIFF (Office Show). Comprising two segments, the first installation of CIFF, featuring home furniture, will take place about a week earlier from July 18-21.
The decision has been made with the consideration of the health and safety of all exhibitors and attendees in mind. With the significant improvement of the situation, the emergency response level of major public health emergencies in Guangdong province has been downgraded from first level to second level since February 26.
China’s prevention and control measures have achieved positive results, and economic operations are returning to normal at an accelerated pace. The impact of the pandemic is not expected to change the fundamentals of China’s long-term positive economic growth. With consumption currently delayed or suppressed, there is expected to be compensatory growth after the episode. This trend is poised to drive the recovery of China’s furniture manufacturing industry.
As Asia’s largest and most comprehensive trade exhibition for woodworking machinery, furniture manufacturing and interior decor, CIFM/interzum guangzhou is confident to continue to play the role of an efficient trading platform to provide impetus for the industry.
