Today (September 02, 2024) marks the grand opening of the first edition of Saudi Warehousing & Logistics Expo, the largest event for supply chain, warehousing and logistics in the Kingdom and Saudi Wood Expo, the largest wood industry event in the Kingdom, running till 4 September 2024 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre (RICEC). With anticipation at its peak, more than 11,000 attendees are gearing up to explore a plethora of innovations, cutting-edge technologies, products & services and networking opportunities.
As doors open, Saudi Warehousing & Logistics Expo and co-located Saudi Wood Expo unveil top unmissable highlights:
Opening ceremony
Hassan Alhwaizy, President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce will open the event following a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Product launches
Spain’s Smartlog will launch AutoStors, an advanced robotic storage and order preparation system built on a cube design and optimizes storage and picking tasks, maximizing warehouse efficiency and utilization. Another exhibitor, Logigates will launch Robo Mena 6D, the company’s AI-powered robotic arm, made locally. Jeddah-based Atmata will launch MiR Robot, which enhances productivity and safety, reducing lead times, handling up to 250kg in tight spaces and ideal for demanding environments.
Live demonstrations
Italian intralogistics solutions provider E80 Group will showcase its innovative software and hardware solutions, designed to fully integrate and automate factories and distribution centres. Sadr Logistics, a leader in manufacturing, logistics services and modern storage solutions will present its unique storage systems and metal products.
Saudi Logistics Summit
Saudi Warehousing & Logistics Expo will host the inaugural Saudi Logistics Summit, driving thought leadership by uniting supply chain, warehousing and logistics leaders to discuss the industry’s future. High-profile speakers from Red Sea Global, Amazon, BinDawood Holding, Saudi Post, Ajex, Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), Al-Yamama Holding Company, Abunayyan Holding, DHL Global Forwarding KSA and DSV, among other companies will speak at the summit.
Hala Chats
Hala Chats will drive awareness sessions focusing on sustainability, digitization and automation in supply chain, warehousing and logistics as well as wood and woodworking industries. These sessions will feature business scenarios and case studies presented by top solution providers. Some of the companies hosting sessions include innovation and automation in warehousing by Swisslog Middle East, deploying generative AI in packaging by V3iT Consulting and the human factor in the age of automation by Savoye Middle East.
Wood Artisans Zone
At Saudi Wood Expo, wood enthusiasts and interior designers will find unique woodworking pieces and live showcases by Saudi artisans, including Wijdan Al Jahwri, a Riyadh-based visual artist and Abdullah Al Silani, a wood carving artist, among others.
Wood U Do It?
Visitors can showcase their drilling skills in a 1-minute competition at Saudi Wood Expo. The goal is to drill as many screws as possible into a wooden plank, with only fully and cleanly drilled screws counting. The daily winners, who drill the most screws, will be announced at the end of each day of the event and receive a SAR500 voucher.
